  Database

An 'Illustrated work' is defined as one which has an illustration (plate) in OU course material or set books. Text titles are included in a similar way.

  • Plates search is an interactive way for finding the plate numbers of illustrated works
  • Artists - alphabetical is a list of artists illustrated in OU course material and set books, with links to individual artist pages which show illustrated works for the artist
  • Artists - chronological is a similar index sorted on date, with links to the same individual artist pages
  • Current locations is a list of locations where there are illustrated works, with links to individual location pages listing illustrated works
  • Original locations is a list of locations where illustrated works were first displayed, with links to individual location pages listing illustrated works
  • Illustrations is a list of references, with links to indexes of the illustrations/texts sorted by artist/author
  • Themes is a list of themes, including texts, with links to chronological indexes of works/texts for each. The text indexes are particularly useful for revision
  • Chronology is a list of mediums, with links to indexes of corresponding illustrated works
